3. Project description (100 words or less)
Accomplishment of this project will protect government facilities from erosion caused by ocean wave action. Also, nesting habitat of 2 species of threatened and endangered sea turtles will be enhanced. Compatible sand will be placed in eroded sections of the beach and dune to replace material lost to erosion. Replenished areas of the dune will be vegetated to help re-establish and stabilize the area.

With the accomplishments of this project the following benefits will be realized:
(1) Protection of government facilities and real property
(2) Threatened and endangered sea turtle habitat enhancement
