The CTDEP LIS Program and USACE are examining the restoration of this salt marsh identified under the 1993 Coastal America Connecticut Coastal Salt Marsh Study. Roads, railroad embankments and a tidal flow gate managed for navigation are impeding full functioning of the salt marsh. The USACE and CTDEP have begun a site specific Section 22 to address these problems.
