King Street Dam in Bristol, once the power supply to a brass mill no longer serves any purpose. The owner, CT DEP, supports any efforts to remove the dam and restore 9 miles of the Pequabuck River for anadromous fish migration. The Atlantic Salmon Restoration Project would be greatly benefited by the removal of this dam. The Pequabuck River Watershed Association proposed this project and the only problem it can foresee are possible contaminats behind the dam.
