The Land Trust of Darien is concerned with the continuing health of a 7-acre lake bordering I-95 and adjoining Sellocks Woods Nature Preserve. Runoff of oil from the large I-95 service area may pollute the lake, it could be lost as a wild life preserve and a key supplier to downstream wetlands. The Land Trust of Darien is looking for funding for expert consulting services, priced at $6,000 for three days worth of study, planning, and reporting.
