Other (describe)
A western branch of the Naugatuck River is being made unnaturally wide by an old, unused dam. Massive silt deposits behind the dam caused by storm water runoff in Torrington have reached depths of 7-10 feet. The goals of this project are to revitalize diminishing fish habitat with the control of invasive plants, possible dam removal, and channel modifications on this 12-acre site proposed by the Heritage Land Preservation Trust, Inc..
