Other (describe)
Erosion caused by excessive runoff in Falls Village is affecting approximately 100 acres of streams, swamps, gullies, and cropland. The erosion is undercutting trees and sediments are smothering downstream wetlands. The water and sediments are also causing flood damage to the residents of Amy Rd. A study phase is currently underway to determine the best plan of action to stabilize and control flow through the eroded channels. This project was proposed by the USDA NRCS. The CT DEP, and US EPA supplied a funded 319 Water Quality Grant for preliminary engineering study. The Project itself will cost $500,000.
