Other (describe)
Ball Pond is an 82-acre kettle lake formed during the Ice Age that in modern times is being affected by eutrophication from the surrounding densely populated watershed. Excessive growths of algae and non-native invasive aquatic plants have taken over the lake. The Friends of Ball Pond are looking to complete a lake management plan, for an estimated cost of $15,000, that will help the town of New Fairfield restore Ball Pond.
