Other (describe)
Addison Bog is a black spruce bog described as a palustrine, forested wetland, with inclusions of scrub-shrub wetlands, which is permanently saturated. This 6-acre site in Glastonbury, proposed by the local conservation commission, is a significant natural community, which supports an eastern box turtle population, and could possible be an important teaching resource for local schools. The greatest threat to the bog is sediment input into the northern end of the bog from collected storm water discharge. Approximately $100,000 is the estimated cost for this project.
