The Little Fox River flows into southern Green Bay, which have fish and waterfowl consumption advisories that directly result from highly contaminated sediments in the system. Little Lake Butte des Morts is located on the lower Fox River and contains a deposit of PCBs that constiutes 31% of the total mass of PCBs in the lower Fox River. The project completed a comprehensive survey of available upper trophic level biological indicators of ecosystem health, including distribution and extent of sediment contamination. The project will design a remediation strategy for the contaminated sediments in accordance with the findings of the river survey.
