Restoration of the Cat Island Archipelago with the use of suitable dredged material. A series of Islands would be constructed over a number of years. Geotubes filled with suitable dredged material would be placed around the perimeter of the restored islands for purpose of preventing the dredged material from traveling due to wave action.

Beneficial use of dredge material for the restoration of the Cat Island archipelago. This project will restore a portion of the originally lost Cat Island chain. Approximate acreage is currently being determined.
Lead: COE.
The COE will provide 75% of the total project costs.
A 401 Water Quality Certification would be obtained from the State of Wisconsin.
The project sponsor is the Brown County Harbor Commission, Green Bay, Wisconsin. The project sponsor is to provide 25% of the total project cost over the incremental cost of maintenance dredging.
