Order of Events

  • 11:00 a.m. — Meet at the Orleans Inn for refreshments by 11 a.m.
  • 11:15 a.m — Carpool over to the Courthouse parking lot (directions below) for tour of the project site with Secretary Durand and Commissioner Webber. Because of the busy Courthouse and Registry activity, we urge people to leave their cars at the Orleans Inn and carpool to site.
  • 11:30 a.m. — Dedication Ceremony at the project site. (In the event of rain, the Dedication Ceremony will be held at the Orleans Inn).
  • Following the Dedication Ceremony — Return to Orleans Inn for luncheon program featuring a presentation of wetlands restoration progress and prospects on Cape Cod.

Directions to the Orleans Waterfront Inn

  1. Sagamore Bridge to Route 6-East
  2. Take Route 6-East past Exit 12 to Orleans Rotary
  3. Take 1st right off Rotary (Route 6-A)
  4. Stay on Route 6-A for approximately ¼ mile
  5. The Orleans Inn is on the left side of the 1st stoplight

Directions to the Courthouse

From the Orleans Inn, return to the Rotary, travel ½ way around the rotary. Make a right and immediate left onto Rock Harbor Road. Follow signs to The 2nd District Courthouse, less than 1/2 mile on the right. Park in the back of the parking lot near the path to the Bike Trail. Follow directions to the project site for ceremony.
