Overview

The National Corporate Wetlands Restoration Partnership (CWRP) is a public-private partnership between the federal government, state governments and private corporations to restore wetlands and other aquatic habitats.

The CWRP’s objective is to stop and reverse the degradation of America’s fresh and saltwater wetlands and other aquatic habitats.

The CWRP is a program of the Coastal America Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization.

The CWRP is facilitated by the Coastal America Partnership in Washington, D.C.

In the CWRP, corporations contribute funds and services to the Coastal America Foundation. These funds and services will leverage federal and state funds to undertake aquatic ecosystem restoration projects.

The CWRP is organized on a regional and state-by-state basis, parallel to the Coastal America framework.

The CWRP is implemented and administered at the state level under a state-level CWRP advisory board.

Organization

The National Corporate Wetlands Restoration Partnership is a private-sector initiative that works with Coastal America.

The Coastal America Partnership integrates federal efforts with state, local and non-governmental efforts to protect and restore wetlands and other aquatic habitats.

There is a program management committee working with the national Coastal America Team.

Regional corporate advisory councils will work with Coastal America Regional Teams.

At the state level, CWRP advisory boards include corporations, non-governmental organizations, state agencies, and regional representatives.

Non-profit partners are involved at all levels of CWRP. Non-profit partners include environmental organizations, community groups, and academia.
